We have cruised many times before with Princess and then once with Norwegian. We found Norwegian wasn't for us. This time for Alaska we thought we would try a new cruise line. We went with Celebrity on the Celebrity Mercury.
We arrived in Vancouver the night before and stayed at the Fairmont Waterfront which is a nice hotel and close to the cruise terminal.
I would say that the service was excellent onboard the staff really made a great effort and making everyone comfortable and just being friendly. Our room stewart was efficient and very responsive to any concern we had.
The cabins are small but we still did find enough room to store all of our luggage away and we are not light packers. The entertainment was good to average in the evening but we found we didn't go out that much at night anyway.
The food was excellent and we really enjoyed almost all our meals. Our waiter always gave good recommendations.
We really enjoyed Alaska and the ports and we will are looking forward to sailing with Celebrity again in the future.
