My Husband and I have cruised many time before and our preferred cruise line is Celebrity. We are seniors but not retired yet.
Our trip started out well as our flight was on time and we stayed at the Hilton right near the port. This really was a nice hotel. In a good mood we headed to the pier and then the problems began. A long lineup that moved so slowly. There wasn't any help and I felt more like a prisoner than a vacationer. Finally we got on had a quick meal and checked out our cabin.
The balcony cabin that we had booked was small and clean. The cabin steward though was very unfriendly. We saw him only twice and he seemed very unhappy to say the least. He should find another job and I made a point to remove his tips at the end of the cruise.
The food was nothing special overall and we even tried some of the pay restaurants. Still nothing special for the extra money. In the end we stuck with the buffet. Faster service and meal.
The entertainment onboard was just dreadful. The comedian wasn't funny and the shows were a bore.
If you order a drink don't expect it quickly as it took almost a 1/2 hour to get my drink order. I almost didn't want it anymore. The ship does seem to push buying of things onboard as well their spa seemed really expensive.
Our first port Roatan was cancelled due to civil unrest. You think they would have known this ahead of time and made some other arrangements. Instead they seemed really unprepared for this.
Belize was a lovely place to visit and we would go back there again.
Cozumel was good for snorkeling though not many deals when it came to shopping.

Overall this was not a good cruise. The rooms were very small and the staff was just unfriendly. Overall this ruined the cruise for us. We wouldn't travel with Norwegian again.
